    b. At the time of transfer to the certifying institution, the student-athlete would have been athletically and academically eligible and in good standing on the team had he or she remained at the previous institution;

    c. The certifying institution must certify that the student-athlete meets percentage-of-degree requirements

    Aka a player with a good lawyer can get a hardship pretty easy
    Not true. Ole Miss was in huge trouble and subject to sanctions including no post season play and limited scholarships. It is Ole Miss' faux paws that made Petterson' request have the better chance of being granted. I can assure you that absent school trouble with the NCAA, it remains hard to get and will remain hard to get or there will be a flood of these requests to the NCAA every year.

    I would like to see a similar portal for recruiting.

    Coaches would only be allowed to make binding offers via the portal, athletes could only provide commitments via the portal until signing day. An athlete would only have three opportunities to de- commit. After the third decommitment, the athlete should forfeit a year of eligibility.

    This would provide full transparency. No more of this verbal bull crap. It would also hold coaches feet to the fire. I seen kids get screwed late in the process.

    I like full transparency with the NCAA. Don't trust them at all!

    No, it was more of a telephone and a women's box on this one.

    LOL..... The race card is undefeated (or pretty close to it). That could be pandora's box

    Edit: I see Lannister used the same term as a comparison. Great minds think alike amirite

    That’s not a done deal. Difficult to get a hardship when you were playing in your home state and want to transfer across the country. I don’t think he gets it in his situation, the NCAA would be opening Pandora’s box.
