    Most places don't have the money Ohio state has to give out those 500k handshakes to Ncaa officials.... He will get the waiver

    ......I think the BIG money will be spent on an insurance policy in regards to injury....the amount of money for one year of playing given by a booster won’t be what a nfl high draft will be along with a contract worthy of his draft position.....a H-man trophy would move the status up, so what school gives him that best chance??? Some considerations are surrounding himself with an o-line, receivers, RBs, and coaching philosophy to be a great offensive football team!

    If I’m going to dream it won’t be about a UL booster paying Jalen’s Dad 300k for him to come here. Personally I am dreaming about owning a ski in/ski out home in Vail.

    I just don't see the waiver being approved. If it does, then you can say goodbye to any athlete ever sitting out a season after transferring again ... in any sport.

    The transfer portal was the beginning of the end it's going to a bidding war from here on out

    What does that mean? I never heard that the transfer portal did away with the requirement to sit out a year absent graduation.

    Because with the new portal came all kind of loop holes for hardships and coaches can no longer not grant a players release

    Granting release does nothing to obviate the required one year sit out. Also not sure or aware of any changes which create any "loop holes" or the standard for Exemption as a result of "hardship." What do,you know specifically that has changed other that having a portal to list yourself for transfer or for coaches looking for a transfer to search?

    So there is a chance Hurts will play for the Cajuns.

The request for exemption has always had a good chance of being granted when the school the athlete was leaving was subject to NCAA sanctions and probations. That's no new loophole or ground for hardship exemption grant.

    Now, a waiver could be granted if the following conditions were met:

    The transfer is due to documented mitigating circumstances that are outside the student-athlete’s control and directly impact the health, safety and well-being of the student-athlete;

    b. At the time of transfer to the certifying institution, the student-athlete would have been athletically and academically eligible and in good standing on the team had he or she remained at the previous institution;

    c. The certifying institution must certify that the student-athlete meets percentage-of-degree requirements

    Aka a player with a good lawyer can get a hardship pretty easy
