If Hurts set foot on campus, the NCAA will follow, way too improbable..
I agree. I really like what Napier is doing with the limited cash we have to pay recruits under the table. Paying one guy is not going to get us into a NY6 Bowl. We need to spread our cash around. Look for UL to go for lower cost free agent on the QB market so we can buy a middle linebacker.
Someone said they saw Hurts boarding a flight to Lafayette...................................
Let’s not forget Hurts was there to witness our 4Q domination of Bama. That had to leave a big impression on him.
My friend's cousins wife drives her Escalade for Uber and supposedly picked up Hurts and drove him to Ruth's Chris. She was then asked to wait while he ate lunch with UL brass. After lunch she drove him, TJoe, Maggard, and Napier to River Ranch to tour his "dorm room." Please don't let this get out as the driver might get in trouble with Uber.
Now how that for a rumor?
Look, Napier helped develop Tajh Boyd, Garrett Grayson and Manny Wilkins. Boyd and Grayson were drafted, and Wilkins will be on an NFL roster this fall.
It makes sense for Hurts to hear him out. Outside of Oklahoma and Houston, a sub par season at any other P5 may hurt his draft stock. Having 2 above average years in the Sunbelt may not help much, but it wont hurt. Scouts already know what they have in Hurts.
Most of all, Hurts knows that Billy will be here at UL for the next two years. He has a little security.
I guess we will all find out on 1/16/19.
