I’m like that for most things. I do recall the Lamar plus sixty. Thinking it was Northwestern. It’s more a feeling than any actual memories.

The 62 for Lamar was against ULM, back then it was NLU. We were down six with under a minute to go and forced turnovers followed by Lamar buckets to tie it up. In those days there was no shot clock and no three point shot. In OT, the game was ours. I was in the ninth grade and I remember listening to Ron Gomez call the action. Had trouble going to sleep after that one.

The record book did not have Grider's game listed. But he did, in fact, score 41 in a game at the 'Dome.

Good memory.
