Why would we complain. I hope this dude is the next super star from Louisiana. Like Good enough to leave early for the NBA.
We have signed some other really good scores lately too who for some reason haven’t been as productive as we hoped they would. But Marlin has recruited much better the last two years.
Now it’s time for him to get more wins against better competition. Instead of padding records against poopy teams.
Can't wait to see Mylik play.
Great job Marlin & Co. Anyone see this kid play in HS?
Forecast for fishing is way up for 2019.
VO, if you are not a hater, why even respond. I don't think you are a hater and neither are any of the posters who have a similar take on all things Big Fish.
Further, I really don't think that there is much separating the wishes and expectations for this basketball program going forward between those that have the same line of thought as you have, those supporting the Big Fish on this board, the Big Fish himself and the administration.
Where there is a difference is on the take/spin which is attributed to the Big Fish and the program from the start of his tenure through now.
You guys look solely at 1 NCAA appearance, 1 conference title and 1 NIT to gage the program.
The others, apparently including DR M, see all of the other circumstances that have surrounded that sub-par performance to date and are more willing to give a pass through now.
I truly believe however that most across the entire group, including the BIG FISH and Dr M have pretty much the same expectations of performance for this program going forward, or he will have to go. Dr M and the supporters are just willing to give a little more rope based upon the past circumstances. Unfortunately, one of those unsavory circumstances raised its ugly head again last week in the loss of one of our best players.
All we can do is hold our heads up high and hope for the best for this year.
I have seen highlights of him. Gets to the basket with ease. 6'3" guy with a 6'8" wingspan. That will allow him to be effective defensively and to contribute on the boards from Day 1. He shoots somewhat of a set shot from the perimeter. Makes a decent percentage there but can still improve. He does a good job of faking that shot and going right around the defender. Some in the program think he will start as a freshman.
