Thread: Eat Acadiana: Fried Chicken

  1. Ragin' Cajuns Eat Acadiana: Fried Chicken

I cannot find decent fried chicken in Metairie. Cooking it myself isn’t a problem, but way too messy for just two people. Anyone have a favorite in Lafayette, planning on making both Arkansas games next week.

I can't eat fried food now. But when I could Fat Alberts on Moss is good. Don't go after dark though. Dwyers is good but they do it only on Saturday.

Surprisingly so the Albertsons on Johnston St. has bomb fried chicken!

Express, you tried Brother’s in New Orleans? That’s always our go to place for fried chicken and meat pies.

Actually Brothers gas station is pretty good. Just not always fresh.

I'm a Popeyes man. Since they came around, there is no point in going through the trouble of frying your own.

There’s also a Brothers poboy stand in Metairie. Really good , but only lunchtime.

Actually, the fried chicken at LaFonda's is pretty good if you don't mind the wait and the ultra-strong house margaritas. It's not on the menu, but have been getting it for years. Always good.

Lafonda FC is like your grandmas fried chicken. Really good especially after a couple margaritas.

So I’m gonna open a fried chicken joint that offers margaritas as a appetizer. Sounds like a wonderful combination.
