A 10 piece tender with French fries or fried rice is $12 + tax. The catfish strip platter is to die for also. They do sell drumettes though. They are on the corner of S. Pierce and Cameron, across from the Acadian Ambulance main headquarters. It' a hole in the wall place but I highly recommend them.
Went to Google maps to check out Stevens. The picture that goes with the street view confirms your recommendation!

Try it. You won’t be disappointed. We get it for all our tailgating plus most family functions. Oh and don’t be late in picking up you order.

Looks like Stevens and Fat Alberts in Lafayette win. I understand Momas in Opelousas is good too. Hole in the wall places are usually the best for stuff like this. They can be extremely good or extremely bad. You just have to get educated before you go.

KFC has returned to Lafayette. They built a new structure on University near the interstate exit. Portion size is rather small.

If you are into "Adventurous" eating try Alexander's Specialty Meats on Hollywood street. Ox Tails, real Cowboy Stew on Wednesday, smothered turkey necks on Monday. Dwyers has smothered calf tongue on Tuesday.
