    One of the owners of Shucks, David Bertrand used to own Riverfront Restaurant

    The other owner, Bert Istre used to own the Golden Corral franchise in Abbeville. Great fried chicken.

    They both sold and pooled their money to buy Shucks.

    That is my recollection.
