How you came to your opinion is immaterial. You have stated your wishes about MBB and WBB. Anyone who wants to drop MBB is not the type of fan we need input from to move the team forward.

We accept a mediocre team with good results with a terrible schedule. It's ok if we were destroying teams by 30, but we aren't. Bob Marlin is so vastly overpaid.
Considering neither MTSU or WKU stand out as solid programs in both sports, I had to look them up.

MTSU = 3-9 in basketball right now (they may turn it around)
WKU = 3-9 in football (I pray we don’t resort back to the Baldwin days)

Is that who you want to emulate? How about you get real.

I agree with you that we pay way too much for Marlin. I wouldn’t be opposed to a change either. Brad Boyd did beat a ranked Mississippi State team on the road with WKU’s Stansbury at the helm, but I’m not suggesting we hire him.

You prolly do our group of 15 use to go to 10-12 games a year and now we go to zero

We continue to go to Football, Softball and Baseball regularly.

So, based on your description, if Marlin wins the regular season championship and gets to the NCAA this season, he is as good as Hunter?

For the record, I think Marlin is a better coach than Hunter, but definitely isn't the recruiter Hunter is. Hunter is better overall because his is that much better a recruiter and Marlin is a marginally better coach.
Except Hunter has done that in 5 years not 9

This SHOULD NOT be a rebuild year. But many of you are acting like it is. Which again, is purely social club power hour.

    Wake the hell up.
Don’t worry we should be stacked next year after we lose Gant, Stroman and Marquetti..bob just reloads.

Being you brought up WBB, what's the spread for the game in Starkvegas?

Good post. No one here would be happy with the athletic programs WKU or MT have. The grass is rarely greener at other G5 schools.

With only 3 players you can count on it will be tough for this team to string together wins. After watching the team yesterday I came away with the feeling that recruiting and not X's and O's coaching is our problem. The execution down the stretch shows Marlin knows what he is doing. He is just not getting good enough HS players. Right now all of our best players are p5 transfers. If he cant get more P5 transfers or more polished HS players ASAP he will not be here for long.
We have another quality transfer coming in, the top ranked player in the state signed early with us, and the second ranked player from last year is being redshirted. Your suggestions are being followed but that is probably not enough to improve as more is needed. It will be interesting to see if the HS guys can play at a high level next year. They are looking at bringing in another recruit in the spring period. Success there may tell the tale of their fortunes next season.

We were not last season and we were not planning to be this year. Injuries are a factor this year. Not having enough depth points to a recruiting issue as you mentioned. Next year may correctly be designated a rebuilding one. However I expect there will be enough talent on hand to have a winning year.

Last year we WERE beating teams by 30.

For the first time in 9 years. Marlin is a bum beating bum teams. It’s ok we know what the expectations are from the university and we are exactly where we are for a reason.

Marlin will coach here for 20 years with 3 NCAA appearances if we are lucky. That’s fine for some fans. Not me.

If it’s only about 3 games in March then Marlin has only been successful 1 of 8 seasons. That may be good enough for y’all but it ain’t good enough for $600k.

AC drains a mid-range jumper to get Louisiana into double-figures. 😤
