Getting a win is unusual when you are down by six with less than 2 minutes to go. Credit them for finding a way. Obviously they dud not play well much of game prior to then.

Give credit to Trajan Wesley for scoring 5 points in less than 10 seconds to get the lead down to one.

Just get home. It was a a fun one and they overcame a lot. Gant and Stroman in foul trouble on some ticky tack stuff and of course the Marquetti injury. Down 6 and basically the minute mark showed great composure to pull that off. I would like to blow out Southland schools too but I’ll take a win over the defending champs on the road with that kind of adversity.

Texas Southern...typical road warrior SWAC team, except they've won a few. Took out the Aggies tonight. Already beat Oregon and Baylor. But, one bid league and lost a few they should not have, such as Lamar of the SLC. Hammered by Georgia, who was hammered by Georgia State. When it comes to basketball, transference of scores are irrelevant points.

I'm happy they took out a power conference team at home. Can't stand WKU, but I get it.

That said, their NCAA NET rank of 147 should improve. We're at 164 and should slide back even with a win. Both programs will be playing for three games in March.

Entertainment value, I'd like zero "exhibition" games, or only one prior to the season starting. As far as changing anything NCAA tournament wise, won't change a thing if the conference remains as uncommitted to improving as it is. Too much to overcome.

The three games at the end of the season, doesn't change the need to get butts in the seats during the season to fund your program. If playing regular season games have no meaning, then let's play all the D2 programs we can and see how that works out. While I recognize that when it comes to conferences like ours, it really does come down to those last three games of the season, repeating it demeans the accomplishments of programs that actually schedule decent home games and win those games rather than beating 250 RPI programs or worse. JMO

I’ll guarantee you that if Nevada continues like they’re doing they can lose in their first conference tournament game and be seeded better than a 10 seed, and obviously an at large.

Agreed Musselman has done a great job with the Pack. I would be happy with their level of success.

Nevada, Utah St, Wichita St, Butler, Temple....I could go on and on. We aren’t a good program. We win against poop teams.

The Marquetti injury was a factor. Lions were having trouble guarding him when the Cajuns were able to set up mismatches he took advantage of. Also, let's give credit to PJ Hardy for hitting one of the biggest shots of his career when he hit the three to put the Cajuns up by one. They actually called the play for him to take that shot and he let it go with confidence. They also executed extremely well on the winning basket. Stroman was able to get into the lane and there was no one on Gant when he passed it off for the "dunk you very much" game winner. Last 90 seconds was one of the best stretches they have had in a while. Of course they need to do that for much longer periods to finish high in the league standings.
