Updated the blog after getting a first-person account. Ends up that UNT forward Kedric Hogans was involved. Hogans is from New Orleans.

I, for one, would like to hear more about how our supposely head coach actually handled this. Did he over reach? Does he really have control of this team? Is this a move to try a justify his job?

I am so far removed for Lafayette right now that it is hard to make a statement, but being a sudent at U(S)L at the beginning of the Winker era (1st 11/2 years) and the last 1/2 year of his career and the Bo Lamar era right up to the beginning of the "Black era", I long for a team that is in the top 20, yes I said top 20 every year.

Those who know me, know I bleed vermillion & white. Thus I am tired of our selling ourselves short all the time. We didn't have all the tema that we have now, but the student side was always filled for football, we had national attention with our trampoline and basketball, we had the Southwest Relays with top track stars from all over the country plus had all the high schools coming to the campus (what a way to sell the University), we had a national rank weight lifting program, what else do I need to say.

T-Joe needs to do some house cleaning, students need to start caring & supporting our programs, alumni need to step up and voice their opinions and we need the community to care like they did when we brought Winkler, Ivory and Scott to our University.

Alumni have been voicing their opinions for years. The problem is the admin was apparently deaf. We need this new admin to step up and show they are listening and give a rat's ass. So far the reaction from the admin has been a mixed bag at best, IMO.

You saw how he handled it. He suspended the player involved. None of us know the details. I know that Lamar has had some issues but we don't know what was said or done from either side to know if the reaction was justified. The fact is that we are significantly short handed on the road and even some of the players available are injured. Thank god this isn't the middle of the season and the ship will be righted....Soon
