"Mississippi State, Missouri, Memphis, Houston and Tulsa all wanted him," Kaplan head coach Stephen "Tank" Lotief said. "He's just as good as (five-star defensive tackle Ishmael) Sopsher from Amite who everybody is after. They matched up against each other a couple of years ago and Cobb worked him over."

Tank don't blow smoke up people's butt if he said this oh my god

Yup, you coined it. And it fits.. I looked at his film and the guy is mobile like a tight end oe D end but is built like Julius Peppers. My kin folk in Kaplan all said he totally dominated everyone he played against and his attitude is outstanding.

Some times guys this big let their size work for them, so they shelve the effort and technique...not Cobb, he's a hard nose baller...think Anthony Clement from Cecilia. Big, strong, and a baller..goes to start on UL offensive line, ends up with a long career in the NFL

I watched some of his film also. At times it appeared he was playing against kids about 4 years younger than he. We'll be pulling out that "they got a tank" video next year. LOL

.......Just want to tank coach for any help he might have given us in the recruiting wars......possibly nothing more than just staying out of it or neutral....and congrats on a winning season!

Sopshier was lazy. He was a minimal effort kid in Amite. He didn’t need to really put forth a lot of effort to dominate.

Cobb has the motor to go with the size. This kid could be a monster for the Cajuns if he reaches his full potential. His ceiling is way higher than Ringo or Hamilton who both made rosters in the NFL. Wilkerson is in the same class as this guy too.

Our DL signings from last year and this year are incredible. Manac, Porter, Cobb, Hutchinson and Wilkerson are huge gets for this program.
