Well, one take away from last night was Roydell Brown did well to transfer out. He would still be coming off the bench at UL.

I would love to have him coming off the bench for us. He could guard guys Justin Miller has trouble defending. They wanted him to redshirt last season and he did not want to so he left. You can't look back however and he is probably happy with his McNeese decision. He does get to play in one of the nicest facilities in the SLC I imagine. I rank it above LakeFront Arena for UNO>

Yes but he would still be a redshirt sophomore. In fact if he were still here he probably would have been the one replacing Gant in the starting lineup last night. He had 14 points and 9 boards, not like he was terrible.

Was a good decision for Roydell.

Depends on how you look at it. He probably won’t play any type of pro ball. He could have had 5 years of education paid for instead of 4.

Agreed. There was a thread a year or so ago about the high rate of basketball transfers in the NCAA. All the big fish starters from high school each year are funneled into 1,755 (351 x 5) starting positions in D-1 basketball, and most already held by upper class men. If playing time is what Roydell wanted and did not care about the big picture, there was nothing anyone could have done to stop him.
