That's strictly my personal opinion. Any of the grad transfer or JC options that the coaches have followed seem like projects. They all have potential and could be the guy right away but other things tell me that they wouldn't be ready to contribute anymore than what we already have in the short term. With what I have seen, I think Levi is your starter in 2019. Now any of these possible JC or grad transfers could make me change my mind in the spring.

    2. You don't have depth at the QB position 2 rookies and 2 walkons are not ideal
Our running game is good enough, and our defense will be good enough next season, to get us to 6 wins as long as the QB isn't a pick machine, which I think Napier will make sure doesn't happen.

This will be true regardless of who takes snaps next season.

Some of our best players on defense this season were True Freshmen. Our QB depth chart is fine with Levi, Fields, McDowell and Gibson.

But, if we somehow find a non-project JC QB for the Spring, that would work too.

Like I said its not ideal to have 2 walkons and 2 rookies backing up a project at QB

Tulane showed what happenes to our run game when you don't have a QB with ability to throw

Defensively Linebackers will still be ___ and you lose 2 monsters up front

The best passer on the field that day was named Andre Nunez.

Y’all do understand that the Lamers had the top run defense in the AAC. We just didn’t have enough pass muscle to get them to not be in max run defense.

To me the only problem with Lewis is finding the open receivers fast enough. That’s a fixable issue.

Because he couldn't throw a pass or read a blitz unless the receiver was wide open. All he could do was tuck and run.

If Levi wins the job in the spring, then he will be the man. I hope we bring in a decent JC prospect to challenge him and if that QB is capable of making the throws consistently I don't see Levi coming out of spring at the starting QB. If he does win it, the offense will be changed somewhat to work with the things he does well. I'm looking forward to this spring.

They also have the worst pass defense you don't get a stacked box if you are torching them.

On lewis You can't fix how fast someone can read a defense or make a decision we are going into year 3 on that project and only thing he can do is throw a screen or just chunk it up and pray.

My hope's and dreams for a transfer quarterback....

    1. Jalen Hurts - Relationship with Napier and he's four hours from his hometown.

    2. Messiah DeWeaver - 6'5", 230 lbs. Won a national championship at EMCC, former four star Michigan State QB. Doubt he comes to UL. Has an offer but I heard he wanted a starting job.
