Not sure exactly which neckster it was getting all twisted off about the use of "Louisiana" or even "University of Louisiana", perhaps it was you who was posting photographs of signs on I-10 and even signage around the campus. Was that you stalking the highways and campus with a camera?

Anyway, with all the outrage and talk of this horrible, criminal activity, we were sure someone would show up with the sheriff to take T-Joe into custody, or perhaps file a lawsuit to put a stop to these crimes against humanity.

Still waiting on either.

Having said all the above, tongue-in-cheek of course, the battle's over. I know it's important to you guys, and you'll always stamp your little feet and say "ULL", but I suspect your emotional energies would be better spent on trying to figure out how to help your McNeese retread AD manage to keep up with the financial growth, across-the-board, of our athletic department.

Alternately, a good recipe for eating dust might be in order.

No, not me. I know nothing of a lawsuit nor have I taken any pictures in Lafayette. Honestly, I admire (not agree with) you folks' tenacity in achieving what you wanted in the name game. If any actions are taken against your school in this regard I expect it will be from LSU if they feel threatened. When ULM (who had the only thing to lose) threw in the towel it was over. I offer you my congratulations. Well played.

We are doing fine at Tech but I don't much care for our AD.

To be fair, I haven't kept up with the insanity, so it wouldn't surprise me if they're still talking about filing a lawsuit.

Man, there is no lawsuit and there never has been, at least from Tech. The only thing I have even remotely heard of regarding this is from a Cajun fan.

Truth! College football was great in the late 90's. Hard to believe that was the start of the BCS system. Nest thing about that era was that folks actually went to the games. Television and conference TV money has spoiled us all.

TV has ruined the game day experience at college stadiums everywhere. The games last too long due to all the TV timeouts and the dead time is just plain boring. Nobody wants to sit in a stadium and watch players and referees twiddling their thumbs for five minutes every time theres a change of possession. We discussed this at length in the thread about declining attendance.

I'd love it if things went back to the way they used to be before all the TV foolishness ruined the college football game day experience.

Well today is the day for the big boys. I wonder if Paul Fienbaum will croak if Oklahoma beats Alabama. An Oklahoma win would certainly upset the apple cart. While I don't think that will happen, it would be fun to watch.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm actually pulling for ND today! Outside of their uniforms I've never liked the Irish, they set the standard for the elitist of collegiate athletics/academics.

Sorry boys, since the days of Bear Bryant patrolling the side lines, I have been a Bama fan. Actually lived in Tuscaloosa for 3 years while in the O&G business. Awesome college town, really cool on game days. Roooooowwl Tiiiiide!!!

I flew back from Chicago a few years ago with the leprechauns father and he paid for the NCAA tournament game on the flight so i have to pull for them

Kind of feel sorry for South Carolina and Virginia in the Bell Bowl. And Nevada in the Arizona bowl. They are up against Florida and Michigan in the Peach bowl. I can't feel sorry for Arkansas state though. Anybody know if we need to pull for them for the Sunbelt to finish ahead of the MAC and CUSA?

Yes if Ark state wins we finish with the best record in the G5 lose we tie Cusa
