That one has some credibility for a number of reasons, a few of which are:
Miss State graduates 1285 seniors
Our defense improved a lot through the season and we recruited well
This will be our coaching staff's second season with the new program and cULture
We may still have a chance for better QB play
We return pretty much all of our weapons on offense save the kicker.

Yes it was. I did not mean to indicate we would have challenged for a victory against the Bulldogs. Just that it may not have been such a blowout later in the year. Note they did convert a few third and long plays. With Jacquet improving at corner and the freshman Garror progressing at the other corner, we may have gotten off the field once or twice had we played them in November.
