Something being "incredibly difficult" isn't an excuse in my book. While Napier has not yet signed the guys who have committed, if he does (and I believe he'll sign most them), he will have done something "incredibly difficult" in his first gd year warming his chair as a Cajun coach.
How much money does Marlin earn? How does his salary compare to other coaches in the league? If he's near the top, then I expect him to do the "incredibly difficult" year in and year out.
I would say being a consistent winning mid major basketball program in the south is “incredibly difficult” and relevant on top of that is even harder. And no I’m not defending marlin with that statement. I really can’t think of a relevant mid major in the south?
New Mexico State? Kind of out west
WKU? That’s basketball country
SMU, UCF, UAB, Memphis( maybe used too)
Anybody know of one example we can try to model ourselves after.
I mean it’s not Jamaican bob sledding, but I don’t think it’s as easy as football or the spring sports.
