I’ll agree with Gant being out made a difference. The point is that one man shouldn’t make a team. Not 9 years into a coaching tenure. Not on your home court. Not to an instate rival missing two of their starters. Not by 21. Have a good night.

I run fans off with my rational thoughts while you carry a pitch fork around 24/7. I was at the game. It was night and day with Gant on the court. Tech had 3 guys 6-7 6-8 and athletic in the front court the whole game, not a good game to miss Gant. Davis and Miller are not rom protectors or rebounders. They hustle, but it is what it is, if your argument is we should have another Gant on the bench, sure that would be great. Gant will be first team all conference hands down.

A well-coached team makes adjustments when key players are sidelined for injury or fouls. After their first few seasons and recruiting cycles, a quality coaching staff makes sure their squad has adequate depth.

Gant was not a 20 point difference. We got our asses kicked even if he played.

You don’t fire coaches with winning records. Marlin should have to walk home tonight though.

Gang went down at 10:06 in the first Cajuns leading 18-17
Returned with 10:56 in the second Cajuns down 60-43
He played 9 min in the second half scored zero.

Maybe he’s not as big a difference as it seemed to me or as the score indicates.

That’s the second time this season I hear Big Fish Bob say something about how other teams consider beating the Cajuns as being a big deal to other teams. What universe is this guy living in?

Losing the Cajuns gets coaches fired but not sure how big of a win any respectable program considers beating the Cajuns to be.

Wait it’s like marlin didn’t learn his lesson! No Gant and we lost in conference tourney. So what does he do? Signs Lafayette who is GARBAGE. And what has he done this year? Not sign a big guy.....watch out next year. You saw what it will look like tonight. This all falls on Marlins shoulders.

I said this last time half of y’all complained when we didn’t win by enough. I’m not a marlin guy, I don’t think he should have gotten an extension. With that said, I don’t think this game gets out of hand if Gant doesn’t go down. Would we have won? Probably not with the way both teams were shooting.

There are people here that can copy and paste their negative comments after every game win or lose.

Maybe marlin should be gone by now, but he’s our coach so I’m pulling for him till someone who gets paid to fire him does it.

Of course there's people who hope Big Fish does badly and gets fired. Most actually hopes he's great and doesn't get fired.

The reality is he's hardly great and does just enough to keep getting unjustified extensions. I'm never surprised when we lose under this guy because it happens so regularly against decent competitors.
