Your making excuses for why Hud was handed a 6 win turn around and why Napier’s 2 win turn around is so much better.

Half of RP was jumping ship when we lost to coastal. Like I said, if Monroe makes a fg and wins in OT. Same people are jumping ship.

The difference between the last 2 seasons is a few plays. ( I know we were more competitive and this team doesn’t quit)

The difference between bustles 3-9 and huds 9-4 was miracles.

The circumstances are night and day. Those 9-4 seasons were partially due to cheating. And Napier coached this season with the consequences of that cheating. And he still won. As for the “what if’s,” yes a few plays could’ve determined different outcomes. But you can’t deny the efforts of this team with lesser talent compared to teams in 2016 or 2017.

Players graduated and the previous coaching staff had terrible recruiting classes in their last two seasons

Also, the previous two teams had seniors who were drafted/signed on by NFL teams. I doubt we will see much of that this coming spring with this senior class.

Because of scholarship restrictions place on the program by the NCAA our overall numbers were down around FCS level. This meant a lack of depth and in some positions a lack of talent. We played quite a few true freshmen, especially on defense, this season. The Staff did a great job getting the program to the West Division title and Championship game along with a bowl bid. As for Hud......his early success sent expectations upward and it directly correlates to our upgrade in Facilities. After the last two games last season it was obvious that the players had quit on him and the staff. After 3 losing seasons in a row it was time for a change. In a private conversation with Hud he stated as much directly to me. But don't for one minute sell Hud short on what he accomplished here. And don't for one minute sell Coach Napier and this Staff short on what they accomplished this season. Now on to signing day!

The offense design could have been done by a biddy ball basketball coach. I realize Gant went down put Marlin wasn’t running an effective offense before. I am no basketball guru but even I saw that there was no organizational effort put into an organized offense.

I run fans off with my rational thoughts while you carry a pitch fork around 24/7. I was at the game. It was night and day with Gant on the court. Tech had 3 guys 6-7 6-8 and athletic in the front court the whole game, not a good game to miss Gant. Davis and Miller are not rom protectors or rebounders. They hustle, but it is what it is, if your argument is we should have another Gant on the bench, sure that would be great. Gant will be first team all conference hands down.
