    Agenda?

I hope Chandler has a better career than Jake did here. I am pulling for him and the Cajuns to have much success. Sometimes the guys making big bucks make mistakes. Heck Texas and LSU both offered Ryan Perriloux as he was rated one of the top QBs in the nation by all the experts and we all know how that turned out. Recruiting is not an exact science I don't claim to be an expert and every one of the coaches knows way more than me. I am still allowed to have an opinion based on what I saw in three games this year.

You do know this is a message board designed for people to give opinions you don't have to get offended every time you don't agree.

Question for the recruiting guys. Napier Spoke a few days ago about recruiting and the effects of playing in the SBC Championship game and having an early bowl game. He said that we have 20 something (don't recall the exact number) scholarships but he said you may see more than that number reported on singeing day. S does that mean we will have some PWO and Blue/Gray shirts signs during the early period?
If so do we know who is a PWO and/or Blue/Gray shirt or is this something we figure out once we have the entire class signed?

Perriloux was a very good QB recruit. Recruiting services evaluation are about talent, and being qualified academically. It doesn't take into consideration your moral compass.

Again he didn't fail because of his play, but because of his integrity which ultimately also usually effects your talent.

And yes, at this time I’m trusting Billy over your opinion. Maybe we shouldn’t judge your opinion, but then why even read them.

Guys.. Do not worry about the QB position. Napier will not only evaluate the correct QB for his system, he will be able to recruit him to our program. Especially at the QB position, it is VERY important (and sometimes necessary) to keep the names we are looking at under wraps until the last minute.

Fear not. We will have a capable trigger man.

We can still only sign 25 every year. Blue Shirts and Grey Shirts are different. Basically, Grayshirts and Blueshirts count towards the next class.

Shirt type On scholarship? Can play? Can practice? Meaning
Redshirt Yes No Yes Athlete sits from competition for a year, then gets another year to complete four seasons.

Grayshirt No No No Athlete waits an extra semester to become a full-time student and part of the team.

Blueshirt Yes No Yes Athlete is not formally recruited, but is put on scholarship at start of freshman practice.

Greenshirt Yes Yes Yes Athlete enrolls in school a semester early.

    Hayes = Grayshirt 2019

    Jean-Batiste = Blueshirts

    Solomon, Dorsey, Bell= Greyshirts 2018

I would expect Lewis and “the player to be named later” to complete for the starting job. I would also expect one of the two Freshmen to redshirt with the other competing for the backup job. Hopefully the unannounced player will be able to make it for spring practice to complete with Lewis.

No one is offended but you. You have an opinion. I showed with your analysis that your opinion is shiete. You got offended. When you put out an opinion on a message board, you open it up for reply, response and analysis. You got it and not only from me.

I will be surprised if Lewis is on the 2 deep chart next fall. Not a knock on Lewis, I just think that we will have 2 better than him by September.

They'll have to be awfully good.

Because Napier has a much higher opinion of Lewis than anyone on this board does.

Personally, I’m sure he has an extremely high opinion of Lewis. It would be hard not to be. He’s got all of the intangibles.

But as a player, he was given ZERO latitude to make decisions on the field last year. Whether that is indicative of trust or plan, I can’t say totally, but its the reality of the situation.

I don’t think our QB for 2019 is on campus yet.

Can someone confirm if Messiah DeWeaver has a scheduled official visit with us? Looks like we offered him early on. He's mentioned us as "Louisiana" in recent interviews.
