Not if they get released by their coach. Oregon has a new coach. She has lost I think, seven players now. She is not keeping them from transferring. One of the Cajuns, Raina O'Neal, had to sit out last year, because Texas tech would not release her.

I think we are definitely getting her, I just saw Glasco retweet a tweet about her possibly coming here.

OK, I recall that now. Difference between softball and many of the men's sports is that you used to sit two years without a release in men's sports. New NCAA rules are limiting the ability of schools to prevent someone from transferring. I think conferences can place some limitations on transfers but that is it. I take it none of the softball transfers we are getting have to sit.

I guess the predicted demise of the program after UL dismissed the previous coach was greatly exaggerated.

An undeniable fact is that this program is suddenly getting attention from cream-of-the-crop players from around the country. As it relates to our softball program, has there been some significant change in administration support, fan support, quality of our overall facilities? I would have to say, no, that those things have been consistent year in and year out. Yes, we're installing artifical turf right now, but that's just the lastest in a long list of improvements that have been on-going in the program.

The kids talk to one another. They have their network, their softball grapevine. Teammates spread out all over the country seeing who's doing what, and report back to one another about all these factors, probably most importantly, including coaching.

I'll just leave it at that.

This is absolutely true, but there is another reason. ML has to be the underdog, and it fed his ego to take 'no-names' and still compete at an extremely high level.

I don't think ML had the ability to recruit at this level, but also he had no want to as well.

Well most schools grant releases because it's such a negative PR for your program
