I don't know about the cancellation, but I can say this.
I live across the street from the field, and since it starting 'raining' around lunch time, its been on and off at worst, and hasn't gotten much over a heavy drizzle yet.. With the turf, the only thing that would shut the game down would be torrential downpours or lightning. Which have yet to occur..

If it is pouring and the visibility is bad, they will call the game regardless of the playing surface.

Yea, we can definitely get it played if its only what is going on now.
