I'm not scared of Tulane. I watched them play a little this year, they have been up and down all year. Offensively they are not that good. McMillian has been ok, but his numbers don't jump out at you and to be honest his numbers were not that much better than Banks when they put him in. They should have lost to Navy,ECU and Tulsa, three really bad teams. They did have good wins vs Memphis and USF.
They can run the ball, that is not a question, they have 2 RB's with over 754 yards and both average about 6 ypc. If we can stop the run game we can beat them, make McMillian beat you with his arm. Defensively they are pretty good.
They average 186 passing yards per game
They average 208 rushing yard per game, so they are balanced on offense.
If we can hold them to long FG attempts vs TD's I think we win.
Their kicker is 5-8 from 30+ yards. He has not attempted any over 50 yards, missed 2/4 from 40-49 and missed 1/4 from 30-39. He is perfect from 0-29 yards 3/3.
So our key will be turnovers (not giving up the ball like we did vs App Saturday), not giving up TD's and forcing them to throw the ball.
Unfortunately, I will be unable to make it to Orlando for the game, but I just purchased two (2) tickets to help support the Cajuns and the cause!
