In that locker room after a loss. You could tell this team they are going to Hawaii and they would have the same reaction. They lost today and could care less what happens tomorrow.

You can definitely tell that Napier's process has taken root. Off the field distractions are gone, wiped out. Record wise, he has exceeded my expectations for what I considered a successful year. Then we get to play in the inaugural championship game and a bowl game? Wow!

True. We own Tulane in most sports lately. Should be another victory!

I disagree this will be an easy game. Since Tulane started playing the LSU transfer at QB, they have been an greatly improved team. Great comeback over Navy last week for them. I expect a game that won't be decided until well into the fourth quarter. As far as a home and home with them coming up, that is over 5 years away. Not a factor in my view. A win is crucial for us in order to keep our recruiting momentum moving on.

It is unusual , but not unprecedented , to decline a bowl, as in 1929 when we declined the Rose . We have everything to lose an nothing to gain , by playing LaLa .
