Agree that Billy Billy probably did a better actual coaching job than Satterfield, but the coach of the team with the best record almost always gets COY. If the shoe was on the other foot, we'd be extolling the job Napier did assembling all that talent.

3 SBC losses does not equal COY. I have a feeling Napier will win one soon

You can't just look at W/L. Napier and staff's overall body of work, considering the circumstances, is a minor miracle.

Interesting article about the 'neutrality' of the game:

No different than Russo or Lamson holding their sport's respective conference tournaments.

I don’t really care that it would be neutral. Let them do them. They earned it.

Coaches who rack up more wins get awards. If Napier wins 9 or 10 games next year he will win the award, even if the new coach at Texas St gets them bowl eligible( a major miracle).

Napier not winning it this year is right in line with the across the board treatment of our players. After the three previous years performance, the lack of respect earned in those years carried into this years voting. However, we have earned the opportunity to do something about it tomorrow. Lets get it done.

Just because it "is" doesn't mean it's justified.

It’s an award. Awards are given to winners. They are rarely nuanced in looking to see who did the best job under the circumstances. It’s really not a big deal. I’m sure UL and Napier will be able to survive the slight.

Awards are irrelevant to coaches. I'm not arguing that.

This is a fan discussion about who we believe did a better overall coaching job this season with what they had to work with. That's Napier, head and shoulders.

Your cookie monster coach did a good job in the SEC this year, and you should be proud of that. He might even be in the COY conversation. Btw, you'd know how incredible Napier was if you watched or attended Ragin Cajuns Football games.

It just seems like we are looked at by the league as the team who gets to lose to app on national tv. I hope we earn some respect tomorrow when we win. Our players have done it the right way this year, this senior class has been through a rough 4-5 years. I want them to come out on top.
