Music? Lucky you. All I heard at the end were commercials for Hampton Toyota, Capital One, etc.

Appreciate you guys for posting. Work call with 2 minutes left in regulation, just got off phone.

Scottie left our team in search of personal greener pastures. Bottom line, he’s a big fish (figuratively and literally)in a little pond, UNO is a good fit for him, and never beat the team he left.

Scottie played well most of night. First half saw UNO have most intensity they will have all year. Of course they could not maintain that and it was still disappointing the Cajuns did not have proper focus resulting in so many turnovers. When they got that under control they got back in game. UNO did play very aggressively on defense. Marcus Stroman was pumped on every possession all night long with few calls. He must need an ice bath when he gets home. Also good to see Russell come up big late in game after struggling early. Same for Miller and Davis. Davis three in OT may be biggest shot of career so far. UNO did have more people than I expected as crowd was probably over 500 and we had about 50. Hopefully winning a tough road game will help us in tight spots once conference play starts.

And we are going to OT with Southland UNO in front of 150 people.

Let’s hope we can win this because UNO might celebrate if they win as if they won the Super Bowl because that’s what it’s like to beat the Ragin’ Cajuns.
Make no mistake...this is not a Marlin apologist post...but I absolutely hate this argument...we all expect our team(s) to be competitive against SEC, Big 12, P5 programs...yet when teams from conferences beneath us compete against us...the sky is falling...which is it?

That would explain Scottie with only three fouls.

We had a better team last year, plain and simple. We also played the SLC teams at home last year other than Nicholls. UNO was also fired up at beginning and it is disappointing we could not match their intensity early. Our guys were warned how tough and hard they would play. Fortunately they got the message before it was too late
