Texas A&M loses one of their top hitters, junior outfielder Sarah Hudek who will find a new home this upcoming 2019 season.

Hudek becomes the fifth player to transfer following the 2018 season. Seniors Samantha Show and Keeli Milligan made their announcements in June. Show transferred to Oklahoma State and Milligan to Louisiana. In September, senior second baseman Kaitlyn Alderink and sophomore pitcher Maddie McGrandle followed.

During the 2018 season, Hudek led the Aggies in batting average (.363) and on-base percentage (.427). She drove in 33 runs with 14 doubles and 8 home runs.

Tell you guys what. My 11 year old attending a hitting clinic up in Katy last weekend where Coach Glasco’s daughter (who is also currently a volunteer assistant at UL) was the instructor.

I was extremely impressed in how she discussed not just the how’s with the girls, but also instructed them thoroughly on the why’s.

My kid loved it, saw immediate improvement in the way she was using her body in just two hours of instruction and drills, and completely bought in.

I like the potential of our program with Glasco leading it.

I was told she and the other Aggie transfer, Milligan, are very close and they were both miserable playing for Evans.

My son played against Hudek in Little League. She is going to be a HUGE addition. Not only is she extremely talented, but one of the most mentally tough players I saw.

She is the child of an ex-big leaguer, played against boys until she was 18/19 years old, AND pitched at all levels throughout. Talk about all eyes being on you from a young age.
