Thread: The Hit

  1. #1

    UL Football The Hit

Did you guys watch that highlight clip? On that 40 yard pass reception by Mitchell from Lewis, poor number 21 for the Monrovians got his clock cleaned just as Mitchell was crossing the goal line. Don't know who hit him, but the guy must now know what it feels like being hit by a truck.

Yes, my teeth hurt for that guy. Had he been any other player from another team it would have had me concerned .

I bet when he got up from that hit he looked down to make sure his feet were pointed in the right direction.

    It was #18 Jalen Williams.

In my opinion, our blocking by our WRs has been the biggest improvement on offense this season. We get to the edge better running the ball, our bubble screens are generally 5+ yards before getting touched, and the long runs are almost always a result of great effort down the field by our WRs.

I agree with this. Leger is a really good WR coach.

I said “oooohhh” pretty loud when it happened. I was also waiting for a flag

Hopefully we keep him and not lose him to HC at Mcneese

Yeah, I was the guy he almost crashed into on the sideline. Let’s just say he looked a little lost when he got up.

If my dad was still alive to see that one, he'd say that that was one of those...."I'll have my dinner on the veranda"......moments. IOW, that cat probably didn't know where the fark he was when he got up. LOL

What’s crazy is that I was following Mitchell the whole time as he was running. As he crosses the goal line, I hear a loud pop and next thing you know, #21 for ULM is tumbling right at my feet. He just looked up kind of lost to say the least.

That hit most certainly triggered Jalen's air bag. LOL

Even in slo-mo it happened real fast. Could save that clip and use it as the new "pain train" for baseball….
