Thread: Unlight the Fire

  1. UL Football Unlight the Fire

Jacques Boudreaux did not need to watch game film from this season to know what ULM quarterback Caleb Evans can do.

That’s because Boudreaux remembers all too well what Evans did to the Ragin’ Cajuns last year, when he was 28-of-34 passing for 343 yards and one touchdown in ULM’s 56-50 two-overtime win over Louisiana at Cajun Field.

I lay that loss at the feet of Hudspeth playing for a tie when the ULMost defense was spent.

And I was with you. Play to win at the end of the game. We had them on their heels and then suddenly gave them new life.

And had we lost by going for two, I'd have said then, and now, that that was the right call even though it wasn't successful.

Containing Evans is the key tomorrow. If we're able to do that, we win by two touchdowns.
