Softball and baseball may be the only sports where a national championship would be believable. It would be amazing, though. Glasco and crew may be contenders.

A national championship in all sports would be believable, only baseball and softball are realistically achievable.

You can cross out football as being believable. UCF will have a chance to go undefeated for 2 straight years and have no shot.

Boise St and TCU went three years in a row either undefeated or 1 loss with the losses coming to each other. Boise beat UGA, Va Tech, OU and Oregon twice during that time frame.

If’n UCF and Boise had undefeated years with the OOC games we have had they’d be in that pecking order.

No way. It will Never happen. They are trying to find a way to leave out Notre Dame.

A G5 program will never make it in with the current format.

If UCF played UL’s OOC schedule this year and were undefeated they’d be playing for a national title.

You're missing the difference between believable and achievable. Winning a championship in football isn't achievable with the current structure but if they win it then it's believable.

So you trying to argue that something that can't happen is believable. Got it.

If the Cajuns ran the table this season in football would they not make the playoff?

The point is you’ve got to play with great teams and pull upsets to get into that final four. Not happening by beating a depleted Nebraska.

It's that whole circular problem. When the G5 beats Alabama, what is more likely to happen is that the committee will drop Alabama out of the playoff consideration (same for Georgia) because they will say that they were not what they were cracked up to be rather than bring that G5 into the playoff fold.
