In August 2017, the UL basketball team took a preseason exhibition trip to Cuba.

It amounted to a beneficial exercise in team unity, as a tight-knit Ragin’ Cajuns club went on to finish 27-7 last season.

With NCAA rules not permitting international preseason travel every year, however, the Cajuns enjoyed no such trip this offseason.
