They will pull an Southland coach and Teis will act like that's who he wanted all along.
where in reality all the others just used the job interview for a raise and had no intention to be their HC

Central Michigan apparently fired their head coach last Friday. And here's the rest of the story....heads up to Jay Walker:

Central Michigan football coach John Bonamego was fired on Friday night. The program made the decision after a 1-11 season, and a 51-13 loss to Toledo on Friday.

Apparently the situation grew even nastier than the poor on-field results at the MAC program.

According to a report by student publication Central Michigan Life, an incident earlier in the year led to Paulette Bonamego, the head coach's wife, to be banned from the stadium.

Paulette Bonamego, wife of former head football coach John Bonamego, was banned from Kelly/Shorts Stadium for much of this season following an Oct. 13 altercation with Central Michigan play-by-play broadcaster Don Chiodo in the press box.

When Chiodo left the broadcast booth for a bathroom break, the coach's wife stopped him in the hallway. She was upset at Chiodo's on-air comments surrounding the CMU football team's effort against Ball State.

Witnesses told CMU Athletics staff she continued making a scene and yelling at Chiodo. During the altercation between the two, she told Chiodo that she and coach Bonamego could return to the National Football League at any given time if they wanted to.

No physical contact was made, but the head coach's wife was banned from Kelly/Shorts Stadium after CMU's Week 7 loss to Ball State.

LOL. Now they're free to return to the NFL.

Looks like ECU is hiring USM's AD who will then likely can ECU's head football coach.

    ....................................................

The East Carolina Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, reportedly to approve the contract of a new athletic director.

According to several sources with knowledge of the situation, Southern Mississippi athletic director Jon Gilbert is the expected to be the choice to fill the position that has been vacant since Jeff Compher was asked to resign last March.

Gilbert has ties to ECU special consultant Dave Hart, having served under him as executive senior associate athletic director when the two were at Tennessee. They also worked together previously at Alabama.

The timing will allow Gilbert to make an evaluation of the Pirates' struggling football program and presumably hire his own coach once Scottie Montgomery is fired as expected following Saturday's season finale at NC State.

    Footballscoop:

Jeff Schultz is reporting the Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson is retiring.

A staunch believer in the option game, Johnson has been the head coach at GT since 2008, compiling a 82-59 record.

Prior to taking over in Atlanta, Johnson was the head coach at Navy, where he went 45-29 from 2002-2007. PJ got his first head coaching opportunity at Georgia Southern from 1997-2001, where he led the program to two I-AA (now FCS) national titles in 1999 and 2000, going 62-10 overall before leaving for Annapolis.

Georgia Tech becomes the 14th head coaching job to come open this off season. Bowling Green (Scot Loeffler), Kansas (Les Miles), North Carolina (Mack Brown), and Western Kentucky (Tyson Helton) have all been filled.

Agreed. If they get rid of Teis, they will be a force to be reckoned with very soon.
