I'm sure this is on Maggard's radar now. Cannot see why it would not be. Has had the full gambit of excuses, some very plausible, but there isn't one for being owned two years in a row by a D-2 program. Much less in your own building in front of potential future supporters. And on regional television just for extra style points
Youth? So in 4 years we can expect to beat a Dillard?
Didn’t someone say the Gary made his own bed with only being able to free 8? Forgive me if I’m wrong. Just remember hearing or reading that. It’s bizzare.
I can assure you Dr. Maggard is very disappointed in the loss today. However, nothing can be done about this in the short term as Coach Brodhead signed an extension recently. Up to he and his staff to have the team work to improve so as things like today don't happen again.
Looked it up and see that WBB gets 15 scholarships. Why do we only have 12 players in the roster?
Hardest thing to do is win on the road in basketball. Oh wait.
.........I remember the last year my daughter played at Loyola....beat SLC, McN, almost Lamar and beat Dillard all on the road....Loyola went to the National tourney and there isn't that much difference.......but there should be and all the staff and team know it......however sometimes a Dillard can get kids that don't academically qualify that are better ball players than whom we sign! Now that is huge!
I was at much of game today. Biggest problem the team has is defensively. Way too many open looks given up. I think communication may have been an issue as rotations seemed late. Too many turnovers as well due to trying to force it into the top pf the key against the zone. Dillard hit four straight long threes at the beginning of the fourth quarter. That seemed to sap the confidence of the Cajuns and they played tight the rest of the way.
