Nice idea, I would be all in on that as well.

Mike...make sure you get Expresses credit card info...sounds like he’s willing to pony up towards to kitty after complaining for so long

If’n Big Fish ever calls me to get into a much better out of Conference schedule I’ll deliver him a nice starter. I’m not saving any money for that day. He’s small time exclusive.

Again, some just don't read what is posted and jump to conclusions. If you read any of my posts in basketball season, they are not negative. I typically like Mike's posts about insight into the program and tidbits about the players. However, recently, when discussion has gone the way of Bob Marlin's contract we are told essentially to stop _____ing because we can't do anything about it. Just as his comments are welcomed in regards to the program others are allowed to give opinion, especially when its done in a respectful manner. It just comes across as dismissive.

Again, nobody EVER said that his posts were not valued. READ.

Not sure of the feasibility of that but I can ask. You would have to be a dues paying member of course to participate.

I likely did repeat myself a little too often when suggesting that complaining about the coach's extension served no purpose. No offense taken.

Teams like Utah or Washington won't come here for any price. Reason is they are in the PAC 12 which is a Big Six (P5 plus Big East) league. Those schools make so much from their TV contracts they rarely (was going to say never but there may be exceptions) get paid to travel anywhere as they have no need to do so. When they do travel to a mid major it is due to a home and home usually with some extenuating circumstance. That is why the suggestion of Cajun Express to pay someone 150 grand to come here is interesting but has limitations. Were you to pay that much (which may be a record paid to anyone for basketball), the best school you would get would be a program of the nature of Western Kentucky. Keep in mind to break even with a 150 grand payment, you would have to draw 15000 at a ticket price of 10 dollars each. That is why if you were to pursue such a policy you would have to raise the guarantee fee from private donations for it to make economic sense.

Mike there's plenty of great teams that would take 150K and expect to beat us. People need to quit focusing on P5 teams. Virtually everyone else needs a payday, and a payday that adds to your RPI and a solid chance to win isn't commonplace.

There probably are non Big 6 teams that would come here for 150 grand. That would be a record payment as most of the high guarantees are around 100 grand. I talked about the bigger schools because someone asked what it would cost to get either Utah or Washington here. I was simply answering his question.

Mike...maybe get Expresses info for Coach Marlin...all he needs is to be asked and he will pony up...what a generous offer to the program

Maybe I’m already doing okay for the program. Again all he’s got to do is be proactive in bringing in better games and I’m in for more. Clearly I cannot give enough for you. I’m not gonna back down. He’s not bringing in good games and isn’t leading an effort to do so.

Bobby Big Fish ain’t changing. He’s happy with all those non division I wins.
