Can anyone share what is the new fundraising $$ goal? How much greater than $80K are Rebounders/Coaches aiming to make desired impact?

Not sure but I would not be surprised to reach 100 thousand this season.

Actually my post was an answer to another post telling me to quit being critical. At least until the class was signed. Looks like my accurate critique didn’t affect our signings.

Maggard's opinion is the most important until there comes a time where the fans stop showing up, donating money and buying seats. I'm tired of you telling us to stop criticizing because it won't do any good. You don't agree. We understand. You just don't have to answer.

CajunsMike is a voice of reason in a reflex kick world.

On the other hand in-game reflexes are only windows into a micro minute, so I try not to dwell on in the moment thoughts.

As an absentee basketball fan, I appreciate Mike's posts about the program. If some of you don't want to read them, you should just scroll by. I guess some of you only want to read negative posts about everything or if it doesn't support your agenda, it should not be allowed. That is BS.

Thanks for the info Mike. If the group doesn't want your info, you can send it to those of us who care via PM or on FB. Thanks again.

    1) Look for true freshman point guard Trajan Wesley to become a team leader as the season progresses. 2) Last year the Rebounders Club raised over 80 grand which I believe is the most raised by any support group. That goes against the belief that the staff does not work to bring revenue into their program-Note the staff did not bring this up-the club leader did. 3) Early signing period begins tomorrow and we should have some good news.
mike what was the "good news" on signing day??

I agree when the fans stop showing up, donating money, and buying seats that the AD will pay attention. In comparison to other schools in the conference, mid majors in the state, and most of the CUSA schools, cajun fans are ahead of them in support of the basketball program. Not that any of those other schools or ourselves for that matter are doing well, but that is a function of the problems in the overall game. Still, the day that scenario changes significantly likely won't happen anytime soon. A disappointing season can change that of course but none of us want that to happen.

Three commitments all signed yesterday as expected, including the top ranked player in the state in Malik Wilson. I will not be hypocritical and get overly excited about that ranking since I don't put a lot of stock in recruiting rankings. I have been told that some believe the player with the most potential is the Lowery kid from Texas.

Thanks Don. I likely will take Beau's suggestion and address people interested via private messages going forward. In the past I always passed on info I believed coaches would be OK with other fans knowing. I had decided to share very limited information this year out of respect to paying members. I was simply going to use a much finer filter. However, I may be able to be use the previous policy to a degree with private messages. Keep in mind, some info is only meant to be heard by paying members. Not that it is usually anything super secret. However things like health issues, academic data, mistakes players make average fan does not see, "improvement needs" of certain players, and recruiting trail stories are occasionally discussed. That information is never shared outside the room.
