Did he ever coach against Rick Barnes when they both were in Texas?

I don’t think Coach Marlin has ever coached against a Bill Self team. Not sure if he coached against Barnes when he was at Sam Houston and Barnes was at Texas. I presume they did play in guarantee games in Austin. It was stated last week the two coaches are good friends. It also stated they attended each other’s practices when they both worked in Texas.

I’d love for Marlin to shock the world. I doubt many have anything personal against the Big Fish. Just wish he’d earn his extensions and lofty salary. Of course we’ve got plenty of he’s our coach fans who never, ever remove the Vermilion sunglasses.
