KU is one of those rare programs. They don't see anyone in their conference as a "rival". They see UNC, Duke, Kentucky, and teams of that pedigree as rivals. Other sports are in the backseat in the priorities bus at KU. Les Miles is very smart, he's going after a job where football is not king and he just needs to make KU football competitive, he's set for a long time.

Both our football and basketball played teams arguably the best in the land. Our guys were not successful, which as a fan is frustrating, but we did not quit, and in the case of Alabama, they could be one of the best teams of all time when the sesson ends if they can get healthy.

Toughest schedule in the country, to date?

Probably tough to try to limit him as he was our offensive X factor in the 1st half. They had no answer for him. But when he got cold, he got ice cold. But at the end of the day he and the rest of the team played to win that game. I liked the intent and attitude. But I can see future situations where Miller getting too undisciplined throwing up errant 3s could bite us.

i dont think any one of Justin's 3s was a bad shot. even when he was missing, they were going in and out.

He definitely had open looks for just about everyone. He wasnt square for quite a few. The ones he made he was squared up from my view. I just don’t know at conference time when we may matchup better in other areas if we will want Miller attempting that many 3s. Last night we didn’t match up well in the paint so we were going to be shooting from outside much more and Miller was a mismatch for them. He had some great drives to the paint as well. He is a really fun guy to watch. Overall I thought the game plan was correct and we executed about as well as we could.

A little quick math gives 1 point per 3 point attempt. He also was 3-4 on 2 point attempts and a perfect 4-4 in free throws. Adding it all up gives us 1.1 points every time he shot the ball last night. I'll take it. Would 6-12 be better? Sure; but complaining about a kid averaging 1.1 point per attempt is reaching pretty far.

I thought we played well on the whole; and the game plan was good. We still are lacking in the half court game though. We are way too static away from the ball.

We played extremely well in transition, and our defense was excellent when Miller was on the floor. Without him, we could not handle their bigs at all. In the end that is what cost us the game.

We got some Miller haters. Kids 4/13. That’s a third. There’s a 200 plus thread about if it’s better to hit 50% from inside the 3 point line or is 1/3 beyond the same.

Miller is a streak shooter. I’m comfortable with him shooting 3’s especially open ones. I’m much more concerned when he’s bound and determined to shoot those covered shots in the paint.

Big Fish will reel Miller in when Big Fish feels he’s hurting the effort.

Game plan last night was for the bigs to shoot the open perimeter shot. Coaches did not want them thinking about it too much. When you do that, you are sure to struggle. I think he got out of rhythm with the foul situation. That is when he let some go without his feet square. I know all about that as I have missed thousands of shots after I don't square up. Justin did have a couple in the second half rim in and out on him so I have no problem with his play last night. I would have liked us to go to zone in the second half when the Jayhawks began having success inside.

Well, one thing last night showed.. Shame on us if we don't win this conference. And I mean regular season and tourney.

If we stay healthy we have an excellent chance to do so. The two Georgia teams will give us challenges. Last night Georgia Southern won on the road against a CUSA school, don't recall the exact opponent they went against.
