The number of bowls is ridiculous already and they're adding more?! Each new bowl has a "participation trophy" vibe to it.

When will Jim Beam sponsor a real life Boubon Bowl, with UL vs LSU?

Sponsored by TDAmeritrade or will Joe Moglia sponsor it himself?

The only Bowl games that are "rewards" for the participants are the CFP/NY6 Bowls, and that reward is lots and lots of money. All of the other Bowls are simply exhibition games that really don't mean much. The real benefits of the Bowl games for the vast majority of schools are all of the extra practice time and development allotted to those coaching staffs.

Conference Championship games are the new "Bowls" where the teams are rewarded for actually being great and not merely beating 5 FBS schools and 1 FCS school in a 12 game season.

Another bowl game that Texas State will miss out on. LOL

Don't fool yourself. LaTech is still being ridiculed for passing on a bowl game and getting frozen out. Besides, it's nice to have football to watch on everyday from Dec 15 to the National Championship.

Meh. Only three post season games mean anything anyway. What's one more meaningless, fun for the fans and players exhibition?

It is great for those who love to watch any college football game. Personally, I only pay attention to those involving the Sun Belt teams (that financially impacts us), the playoff games, and an occasional New Year's Day game of interest. To each his own.

That is about the right no. Some watch all 30 plus games however. There are other things I still do believe it or not.

Hell, why not. Lost count of how many we have now. 80 plus teams certainly deserve a shot at a possible post season celebration.

Indeed. More bowls for me! It's also fun to watch how the conferences perform against one another after a long season. Of late, the Belt has pretty-much taken care of business.
