Right it’s one thing to take up for you U. It’s another to be an apologist and to defend them to no end, even if it makes you silly because the are not getting it done. Like a certain radio guy used to do.

We all should know by now that RCAF is a subsidiary of the University Foundation, they have the same Tax ID number. Mr. DB cannot move founds from the foundation without approval and a directive from Martin Hall. That's where the problem is if some of the stadium funds have been used.
Don't think they do. Tax ID of UL Foundation begins with 726, Tax ID of RCAF begins with 454

However, The RCAF along with the Alumni Association, and the South Louisiana Mid-Winter Fair Association are separate 501(c)(3 corporations but have affiliation agreements with the University.

And no, none of these will become independent of the university with the current administration and probably not with future administrations. The model for affiliated organizations used by UL is a common one. Main reason for this is to keep the organizations from going rogue and embarrassing the university.

I thought that was understood and my comment was in no way to condone anything untoward.

    There it is.

The real reason why this university will never become a P5 university. They won't let us build the RCAF where it needs to be because they are afraid of a repeat of Shipley.

Let me ask you this. What stops the university from embarrassing the alumni and the donors?

Nothing except the preservation of the university’s reputation

Well right now it is not a very good one for progress insofar as athletics is concerned. It looked like we were moving in a positive direction then bam, it seems headed back to to old way of doing things.

So, they changed the Tax ID for RCAF. It's still listed as a subsidiary of the University of Louisiana @ Lafayette Foundation on the state website. Is that what you mean by affiliation?

Reputation of university by other administrators, current faculty and staff, current students along with faculty, staff, and students being recruited.

As far as our reputation among parents writing the checks you will get very different answers from that group ranging from the reputation is great to it’s terrible
