    There it is.

The real reason why this university will never become a P5 university. They won't let us build the RCAF where it needs to be because they are afraid of a repeat of Shipley.

Let me ask you this. What stops the university from embarrassing the alumni and the donors?

Nothing except the preservation of the university’s reputation

    Reputation among whom?

Other university administrators? .... or the parents writing the checks?

You'll get 2 very different answers there Chief.

Well right now it is not a very good one for progress insofar as athletics is concerned. It looked like we were moving in a positive direction then bam, it seems headed back to to old way of doing things.

However, The RCAF along with the Alumni Association, and the South Louisiana Mid-Winter Fair Association are separate 501(c)(3 corporations but have affiliation agreements with the University.

And no, none of these will become independent of the university with the current administration and probably not with future administrations. So, they changed the Tax ID for RCAF. It's still listed as a subsidiary of the University of Louisiana @ Lafayette Foundation on the state website. Is that what you mean by affiliation?

Reputation of university by other administrators, current faculty and staff, current students along with faculty, staff, and students being recruited.

As far as our reputation among parents writing the checks you will get very different answers from that group ranging from the reputation is great to it’s terrible

If this allegation is true, then the university is certainly preserving it's reputation. A reputation of violating a breach of trust of it's RCAF supporters that began under the previous administration.

I don’t know if the tax id changed but I do know it is different between the foundation and RCAF. I consider affiliation and subsidiary to be the same or very related. Subsidiaries can and mostly do have different Tax ID numbers.

    .

I use the legal term subsidiary because it's the legal term used on the state website of registered 501(c)(3). I just ask the question for clarification. Thanks

You are rising to the occasion very nicely. I knew in time that would happen. Good for you . . .

I gotta say, Vic and I recently were on the same page regarding multiple issues.

It seems less squabbling with others has cleared the air.
