My memory is a little fuzzy I’m trying to remember.
We’re we putting 30,000 people a game in the stands the years with Brian Mitchell and Jake Delhomme were here ?
Or did people not go watch because Brian and Jake were thugs?
Or did people not go watch because we were losing and losing to crappy teams ?
Ordered people not go watch because those teams lost and not only did they lose they lose two crappy competition?
I had to pay $20 to park at freaking Texas State and still had to walk a half mile to the stadium. The $10 parking excuse is bulls-hit.
Saw this yesterday:

Real talk
With regards to the G5 revelance remarks, expanding the College Football Playoff to eight teams with the top rated G5 securing a guaranteed spot (plus winning) will help overcome fan apathy. At least for some of the more ambitious G5 programs it will energize fan bases, including ours. Maybe just wishful thinking, hoping for better days ahead.
To be honest with you, and I think this is a sentiment that many others have, I just don't find UL football entertaining and would prefer to sit in my La-Z-Boy chair and watch better quality games on TV. I do find UL basketball and UL softball entertaining so I make it a point to attend those particular sporting events.
Gotta agree with ya. What's the fun in watching a local kid rip off 150 plus yards in a game and score 3 touchdowns? Oh, and that other local kid ripping off over 100 yards as well in the same game. I mean, heck, there must be as many as 2 or 3 other schools who have done that this year.
Pretty boring stuff.
Props to Cajunfanatico...you’re owning this unfortunate thread...
Bottom line is the university has made a bet/investment on Maggard, Yantko, etc. You either agree with it or you don't, but deciding if it has worked or is working, 10 games into the football season, when this is a 4-5 year bet is pointless.
There is no doubt that the parking fee has impacted attendance this season. Do I think it will continue to impact attendance in future seasons, I do not. This is a mindset that has been jarred this season, but it will become the new normal and be accepted.
It is my opinion that in 4-5 years we are going to know for sure, if we are a viable D1 football area or an FCS area.
