Ironic that the same people who have been on here constantly b---hing about all things UL are now wondering why people aren't showing up.

Maybe some here should re-evaluate their often expressed opinions that getting rid of Dr. A, SF, ML, HUD and on and on.......would solve everything.

Maybe people listened to the complaining so much that they began to stay away. If you don't like the univ. Pres., don't like the parking don't like the music, the security, the speakers, the AD, the coach, the way the stadium was financed, etc., etc.then why go right?

Maybe others on here warned them that this might result from all the complaining.

    Maybe

There is also the the delicate balance of avoiding 'the feather' that broke the camels back.

Every move this admin is making is necessary, they might need to work on there load balance implementation.

Not saying much, but this is one of your better analogies

This situation worsens more every single day as the chasm between the P5 and the G5 grows ever and ever larger. This is no accident. Killing off any and all threats of competition from uppity G5 programs is what the P5 schools intended to do from the day the P5 entity was created.

UL needs to prepare for average crowds of 15K in the future, and that's only if we do everything right AND we're winning. I hate to break it to all the sunshine pumpers posting on RP, but the time to make our move in football was 30 years ago. It's true that had we handled things differently back then we'd be in a totally different position today than we currently find ourselves., but we all know how we totally chit that opportunity away.

I've come to accept the fact that the only sports where we (and every other G5 conference member) can actually compete on a national level today are baseball, softball, and in a smaller way, men's and women's basketball. I think the day is approaching that we'll have to reconsider how we allocate our limited resources when it comes to athletics.
Can't disagree with your premise of what we should have done 30 years ago. But being one who has never in his life cried about spilled milk, I choose to look foward, not backwards. I expect to see us doing something we've never done before, like doing the very best with the cards we've been dealt.

I'm convinced that this program, well-run by professionals who are thinking outside the box as it relates to a gameday experience, and who put a top-quality product on the field, will draw 30,000 fans routinely. We're usually in the top 15 in the NATION in baseball attendance, no? Then why can't we expect to draw better in football in the deep south where football is king?

We can and will in my humble opinion. Time will tell who's right but I would't bet against Maggard.

I think it is pretty simple. WIN and bring in better opponents in the future.
LA TECH, Tulane, Southern Miss, UAB, East Carolina, Houston, USF, UCF, type of teams.

They didn't and its headed downhill faster than anyone can catch-up with. Something different needs to happen.
    No, they’re not.

The fact of the matter is, the few cheap skates here and on social media are in the extreme minority. Most of our best donors and biggest fans are buying into Maggard and Napier and the plan they have for the future.

Keep pushing forward. Rebuild and reshape this entitled fanbase into a passionate football crowd. The wins will come and so will the bandwagoners.

Yeah, I recall that conversation you and I had within the last couple of years, may have been via PM. We were talking about everything this administration was doing right, but your disclaimer was, "losing is killing us".

    Just win.
