    We are 5-5, 3-3.

A win next week makes us bowl eligible and puts us in position to win the West.

And, that would give us an opportunity to win a conference title in Nape's first year.

___k those who don't show up. They'll find out what they're missing.
If we make the conference championship AND get a bowl berth, it will open people’s eyes.

Flyover was great and the Cajuns winning was sweet. That was a fun game. States will was broken in the 4th quarter

Deuce Wallace was asked at one of the 1st QB club meetings what was different about Napier versus previous coaching staff. He answered that the rules applied to everyone and even the “stars” had to follow the rules and no one got special treatment.

"If a tree falls in the forest" isn't a story about the tree.

    It's about not getting noticed.

Bear, I wish I'd said that.

I'm sure this is not the case, but sometimes it seems fans are just looking for an excuse to bad-mouth our program.

THIS is how a coach gets the kids, ALL the kids, to run through walls for him. Every single day that goes by I'm more impressed with Nape's hiring.

Exactly, this builds credibility and trust with the players which keeps a strong locker room and buy-in. We have a head coach who is principled and trustworthy. No one player is more important than the team.

There isnt one fan posting here who doesnt want success for our program. Fans are frustrated....you look at the record, 5 and 5 and it seems there is no improvement....decades of hope then despair. Believe me I get that 100%. It will take a little time to get on top and stay there. All I know is this is the 1st time in my life that our University Administration is all in......ever. we really need to get to the Conference Championship game. It's something that will alert our fans that things are changing and for the better.

I agree. The record this year is a lot like records we have had over the past 30 years, but of all the mediocre teams we have had this is one of the more enjoyable ones. They play hard and every now and then they execute perfectly. I personally have made efforts to go this year, but my wife and kids no longer want to go. They have found other things they would rather do. A special season is what is needed to get people back on board.

Well, I'll say this. Of all the Cajun fans who post here, to me, you've always been the most level-headed and the most knowledgeable about what it takes to get us to the next level. You've also been one who knows what's going on on the inside and I appreciate your posts. That you're convinced that this administration is, for the first time in your life, "all in", should be reassuring to everyone here, it certainly is to me.

And I get the frustration that some fans feel. I would just ask, instead of a knee-jerk reaction to one of our top athletes getting shown the door for violating team rules with a "this feels like 2015 all over again", how about taking a deep breath and analyzing what's really going on before blurting something like that out? Is that really how he feels? I just can't believe that.

No, this doesn't feel like 2015 all over again. It feels like comparing night and day to me. This coaching staff's leadership is the polar-opposite of the last one. So to me, that sort of comment only sows discord as there's absolutely nothing constructive or truthful about it.

I defend everyone's right to say what they believe, but also defend everyone else's right to respond.
