30+ turnovers. Poor free throws. That’s what done um in.
yeah. same here. it is pretty boring.
Maybe it is a womens sports thing, but I get annoyed when you lose a game to be laughing and smiling after the game. If it is that much of a joke, im definitely not wasting my time watching it.
I also get annoyed with the stragglers sitting in my "premium" seats. Hopefully there arent anymore of these doubleheader games
but still had a chance to win with 7.6 seconds in regulation and we settled for a bad three rather than drive to the basket where they were calling everything a foul. One last thing we do not move without the ball that caused us problems trying to inbound the ball. Our girls looked worn out by the third quarter.
Game was lost at the free throw line. Coach Brodhead was worried about the Lamar press as they have a veteran club and did very well in the SLC a year ago. Despite that, knock down a few more freebies and the women walk away with a victory. I will say this, the women's team shoots the ball better than they have in a long time. As they mature, they may be a factor once conference play starts.
They are only dressing out eight players. And, as someone pointed out, except for the JC guard, they are all frosh and sophs.
Jasmine Thomas is their best player. She is probably out for the year.
Kimberly Burton is having to redshirt this year as well.
Of the eight players who dress, I believe five are newcomers.
I wouldn't expect much this season from this squad.
What are we now, year 6? It’s about time to hold Gary accountable for who is and isn’t on the floor. Having 8 bodies isn’t an acceptable number regardless of injuries.
I like Coach Brodhead, he's a really good guy. But he has a problem keeping his classes eligible. That is why UL is young this season, you can't keep replacing classes every two years and be consistently successful in any conference.
Brittney Myles and Danyale Bayonne are would be juniors this season. Both gone from what arguably was considered his best class in recent years. Also gone is Breionne Cooper and Malachi- Seraphin Williams, one would be a junior and the other a senior.
The fact that UL WBB is young this season again is directly on Coach Brodhead and his staff. They need to do a better job of finding athletes that fit their system and can remain eligible.
