Ok, so let's see how this wraps up. Cajuns finish 2-3. Their opponents: Radford 1-4, Michigan 3-2, Missouri 5-0, Georgia Tech 4-1 and Massachusetts 2-3.
The rest of the field: Illinois was the only other undefeated on the weekend. Alabama lost to Central Florida on the last day to join Hofstra & Florida State @ 4-1. Arkansas & Illinois State 3-2. North Carolina State, for some reason, played 6 games, 3-3. Nebraska, Auburn, Mississippi State, Southern Illinois, Central Florida & Maryland 2-3. Kent State, Mississippi Valley State & Iowa 1-4. Virginia Tech was the only team to go winless.
Next weekend: Drake, Arkansas, Eastern Illinois, Southern Mississippi & Iowa State.
Finished the tournament with a strong win (14 - ZIP) against a pretty good UMass program. Next weekend's tournament will not feature as strong a field... and if we play well, we can use those games to regroup and to get ready for a very strong field at the Kia Classic.
The season ain't over!
I love Christi to death, but without a doubt Bridges should have never been moved to DP. She's been otherworldly since moving back to starting at 1B.
I guess the NFCA pollsters realized the level of competition we played in the Georgia tournament. We only dropped one position in the poll released today. We dropped from 18th to 19th.
