We are currently a 14 point favorite, Ellington is questionable for GState.
No it hasn't. We are only 3/4 Th's of the way this season. Sure, I like a lot of what he has done and I look forward to all the success coming that he can bring. He hasn't done it yet, that is what I was saying. You are being a cheerleader (nothing wrong with it). The results on the field has yet to materialize. I am not saying it won't. He's getting the most out of the team, I agree with that. That also is not what he was hired for. He was hired for success, winning games, championships, bowls, rankings. Those things are what he will ultimately be judged on. It still will take time.
Key phrase there is "to this point". You are comparing results to 2018 reasonable expectations and I agree those have been exceeded to date. The next two games will tell us if they stay focused. They should have success as neither opponent has much to play for other than pride in those contests. Where we are at this point in the season two years from now will tell us more about if he can deliver all the goods he was hired for. We all know more time is needed for him to build his program.
My prediction:
This team is learning from its mistakes. We win our next 2 home games to go 6-5, then play ULM for the Western Division title. We win and play at Troy for the SBC championship and NO Bowl. We finish 7-5 and go to 8-5 with the bowl win. Recruiting is out the roof and we have serious fund raising towards stadium renovation. Napier has laid the foundation. UL football is about to explode!
