You could hear the music over the 1420 feed

Have something specific to great defensive plays that also gets the fans involved. If we are going to pipe in music from time to time, play Cajun music relative to our culture. Fan interaction is missing and attending games is often boring even when we are winning. Fans and particularly students are simply not engaged and that is priority one if we are ever going to get them excited about Louisiana football again. And, black out home games on local TV so people have to come out to see our games instead of sitting in the comfort of their living rooms. And when they do attend, make sure they are engaged in the atmosphere and play on the field. And lastly, we must do something with our students. Student attendance is pathetic. There is absolutely no reason that UL athletics is not a prioriy for all students. Our athletic department needs to quickly figure out how to make that connection and instill in the students the pride in their university and when they do show up, again, get them engaged and involved thru cheers and music played by our college band, not rap music piped in at the most inopportune times. Is Lafayette a real college town or just a pretender? Time to find out.
Any ideas on how to improve student turnout?

If you watch the cheerleaders, UL does have chants played by the Pride of Louisiana between offensive series. Cheerleaders can be louder and the fans just need to read the signs out loud. The band could do a better job by adding them to the website, social media, game day programs, video board, and practicing them with the students during pep rallies and the fans during pregame festivities outside of the stadium near Russo Park. Fans just need to practice them! We should also all know the words to the fight song and sing it proudly. The male and female cheerleaders are our yell leaders, but I could barely hear them singing it during the pregame march outside the stadium. We can all do a better job in changing our cULture! It starts with U!

I noticed improvements in the sound last night. Better mix of tunes. Could hear play by play with name of playmaker, even though they called the wrong names a couple of times. And there were several blocks of minutes with no artificial noise and you could hear only the pulse of the crowd and it was beautiful. You could hear the person sitting next to you. I like the fact that the admin has heard Ragin Pagin and is tweaking the game atmoshere.

This 1000 times over. There shouldn’t be ANY piped in music - rap, Cajun or otherwise. This isn’t a celebration of local culture, IT’S COOLEGE FOOTBALL!! Why is the band not playing in between every play? P5s do not do this, so why do we? What does the DJ have on T-Joe/Maggard for this to persist?

If last night was any indication, I think we are headed in the right direction with the music. There was noticeably less of it, more of a mix to it, and the band was involved more with some old favorites.

    Keep going in this direction.

Most good things come with time. Look at our season.

That's my thing "Jay needs to kill the crowd mic"

With low/no crowd noise and just the music it was awful for radio game purposes.

Those who know me will think I must be sick because I really do like loud music. However, does anyone else think the music and overall P.A. system in Cajun Field is turned up too loud?
