Best coach since Jessie, and who will finish better than Jessie.

Highly unlikely that an AD like a Maggard would be happy with average with the sport that generates the 2nd most revenue of the revenue generating sports.

Are you sure that baseball does not generate more revenue?

He just gave a raise to a guy who averages 4th places in the belt with a .556 D1 win percentage seems pretty average to me

It might but the size of the travel squad, the extended stays and the quantity of games, makes for a revenue eater.

Marlin is the right coach for UL, it's not even debateable.

    Debate away...
I'm not saying Marlin is not worthy to be our coach. I'm saying that we tend to give multi-year extensions away for mediocrity. Also, he makes players better but those players, with the exception of last year, are placing 4-5th in conference consistently. His results were much more impactful at SHSU.

Nope he gave a raise to the SunBelt coach of the year.

The only mens UL basketball coach Maggard has witnessed first hand was the SunBelt coach of the year.

You must be confusing Marlin with some coach Scott Farmer knew.

Also not true. Wanna bet on this one too?

At this point you're just making things up to fuel your hatred of this guy.
I gave you ___king proof. It's on the link. What are you talking about?

Also, reading comprehension is often running low on this board and you are an example. I've never said I "hated" Marlin. I don't. I loved last years team and I commended him as such. The point here, once again, is that I've criticized the 4 and 5 year extensions we've given him with no P5 wins, 1 NCAA and 1 outright conference title. His record here is 58% and that's not with a really brutal schedule. While others aren't necessarily as happy with the situation as you are, it doesn't mean that we "hate" Marlin. I just criticize how we make him one of, if not the highest paid coach in our league with multi-year extensions for very modest results.
