Louisiana State Police are on the scene of an accident involving an 18-wheeler and a motorcycle.

It happened on Highway 90 near the intersection with Jefferson Island Road. First responders were dispatched by ambulance and helicopter to the scene.

One person was transported by air to an area hospital with moderate injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
