Im from here, i went to UL and i leave for thanksgiving.
No there aren’t more coming in than leaving, according to you they are all in Baton Rouge for thanksgiving.
Exactly and home games on Saturday after thanksgiving are horribly attended.
My group hardly ever misses and certainly never the entire group..usually 1 or 2 here of there..thanksgiving Thursday the tents wouldn’t even get setup.
It would be the worst attended game year in and year out. We don’t have the fans.
What if a guy is from here but his wife's parents live in Houston and they go to Houston for Thanksgiving? You speak like you have all the data to back up that we would have a sellout by putting homecoming game on Thanksgiving day because LSU and Texas A&M pack over 100,000 in Kyle Field on Thanksgiving night.
Blank argument.
The school already moves games around for umpteen reasons, and the reasons people travel are just as varied.
I don't know anyone who predicted sellout, certainly not me.
I'm just spit balling with the knowledge that the everyday factors that affect other schools attendance in a positive or negative way, would effect UL as well.
You are predicting a sellout because LSU and Texas A&M put 102,000 in Kyle Field on Thanksgiving night, which at the time was just shy of their highest attended game of that year.
We just had a homecoming game on a Saturday with absolutely beautiful conditions...and only 18,000 showed up. Give them the excuse of it being Thanksgiving Day and more people will stay home.
But keeping living in fantasy world over there Turbine. Keep thinking we have the fanbase of LSU and Texas A&M that will go to a football game on Thanksgiving Day. Those people prioritize football over anything else. We have a fan base that prioritizes other things over football.
I compared TAMU to TAMU.
I have no idea what constitutes a TAMU sold out game.
I simply compared their very best attended game to their Thanksgiving attended game and the Thanksgiving result was 96% of their best attended game and 101% of their average attendance.
An actual translatable improvement, not Baldwin numbers like you claim.

The principles and factors of increasing attendance apply to both.
Minus the ticket redemption, the factors that make TAMU's Thanksgiving game their average, will serve to increase UL's average attendance as well.
